Full-Time — Parts, Inventory, Truck Stock & MRP

About the Role

Total Appliance & AC is looking for a dependable, organized Warehouse / Inventory Assistant to join our team full-time. This is a hands-on role at the center of our parts operation. You’ll receive and organize parts, prepare daily orders for our technicians, keep our inventory accurate, and help deliver materials when needed.

A core part of the job is our truck stock and inventory program. Every service truck is treated as its own warehouse in our system (SAP Business One). You’ll help keep them stocked by running MRP (Material Requirements Planning)—the process that compares what’s on each truck and in the main warehouse to set min/max levels, telling us exactly what to restock—then physically pulling and loading those parts. Accurate inventory is the foundation that our billing, customer orders, and contract renewals all rely on.

Requirements & Compensation:

  • Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 / hour (depending on experience)

  • License: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

No prior inventory or SAP experience is required — we provide full training. We’re looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable on their feet who takes pride in getting things right.

Key Responsibilities

  Primary Responsibilities

The core of this role — and how success in the position is measured — is keeping our truck stock and inventory accurate through counting and MRP. These duties come first.

•    Run MRP weekly for all appliance trucks to replenish used parts and maintain optimal stock levels, then pull and load the recommended parts back onto the trucks.

•    Run MRP for the main and satellite warehouses to fulfill customer parts orders.

•    Physically count the trucks on the count schedule (quarterly cadence) and process those counts in SAP.

•    Perform cycle counts on selected shelves and in the satellite warehouse to keep on-hand quantities accurate.

•    Keep min/max levels and last-count records accurate, and flag any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager the same day.

Truck Inventory Rhythm You’ll Support

Our truck stock program runs on a steady cadence, and you’ll be a key part of keeping it on schedule:

•    Quarterly truck counts — Every truck is physically counted at least once each quarter, staggered so it’s steady rather than a year-end scramble.

•    Weekly MRP — MRP is run and trucks are replenished every week (this may move to every two weeks once things are running smoothly).

  Secondary Responsibilities

These support the wider warehouse operation and are handled around the primary duties.

Parts Receiving & Daily Order Flow

•    Physically receive, label, and put away appliance parts, and enter purchase orders into SAP.

•    Pull parts each day for the following day’s installs, keeping a log of all parts pulled and any reschedules.

•    Communicate with the appliance department to reschedule part jobs when necessary.

•    Sort next-day service tickets into the technicians’ boxes and log the number of service calls for each upcoming day.

•    Prepare delivery boxes and parts for the night delivery procedure.

Billing, Tickets & Returns

•    Complete A/R invoicing for parts installs completed the previous day.

•    Log COD pricing and part information in SAP, and deliver the tickets to the appliance department.

•    Sort and restock parts returned by technicians to the correct warehouse.

•    Facilitate appliance parts returns to the appropriate vendors.

Warehouse Organization & Upkeep

•    Organize existing inventory alongside the Warehouse Manager.

•    Restock main warehouse shelves with truck-stock parts kept on hand, and restock the satellite warehouse with returned special-order items.

•    Accept warehouse deliveries and check them for accuracy and damage.

•    Assemble new shelving and boxes as the warehouse expands, and assist staff with cleaning the yard when needed.

•    Assist the Warehouse Manager with photos and descriptions of unused parts for resale (an ongoing project to sell unused inventory online).

•    Handle basic daily warehouse upkeep — trash, sweeping, and keeping the space tidy.

•    Support other warehouse specialties (A/C, plumbing) with pulling parts or paperwork when someone is out.

Delivery Driver (As Needed)

•    Coordinate the delivery of materials to technicians directly or to the jobsite.

•    Work professionally with supply-house staff to pick up orders for delivery to technicians or return to the main warehouse.

•    Inspect all materials picked up for damage and accuracy.

What We’re Looking For

•    Dependable and punctual — much of this work happens on a daily and weekly schedule, so showing up consistently is essential.

•    Organized and detail-oriented — comfortable with numbers, part counts, tickets, and accurate record-keeping.

•    Physically able to do warehouse work — on your feet, moving around the warehouse and trucks, and lifting/carrying parts and boxes (up to ~50 lbs. ; able to lift 20–30 lbs. into a van or truck bed for deliveries).

•    A valid driver’s license and clean driving record — this role includes delivery driving as needed.

•    Basic computer comfort — able to learn our inventory software (SAP Business One); full training provided.

•    A reliable team player who takes direction well, communicates issues early, and is willing to help across departments.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

•    Previous warehouse, stockroom, parts, or inventory experience.

•    Familiarity with HVAC, appliance, or plumbing parts.

•    Any experience with inventory or ERP software.

Schedule & Hours

This is a full-time, permanent position — Monday through Friday, daytime hours (approximately 40 hours per week). Exact start and end times are set with the Warehouse Manager.
Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
